By accessing or using the Agent Shell Community at chat.agentshells.com (the "Community"), you agree to these Terms & Policies.

1) Scope and Relationship to Other Policies

• These Terms apply to chat.agentshells.com and subpaths, plus bots, apps, and integrations we operate on that domain. The Community runs on Zulip.
• Our main Privacy Statement for Agent Shell Enterprises also applies to personal data processed in the Community (see agentshell.enterprises/privacy and agentshells.com/privacy).

If documents conflict, these Terms govern Community use; the Privacy Statement governs data protection.

2) Accounts, Eligibility, and Organization Access

• You must be at least 16 years old (or have valid guardian consent under local law).
• Provide accurate registration details and keep them up to date. Do not share passwords or access tokens.
• Organization admins and server operators (Agent Shell staff) may manage accounts, permissions, streams, and integrations, and take moderation actions when needed (Section 7).

3) Acceptable Use (AUP)

You may not, and may not help others to:

• Break the law or encourage illegal activity; post illegal content.
• Harass, threaten, dox, or engage in hate or discriminatory conduct.
• Spam or run deceptive promotions; perform automated bulk messaging.
• Upload malware; attempt unauthorized access; disrupt service or undermine security.
• Impersonate others or misrepresent affiliation with Agent Shell.
• Post secrets (e.g., API keys, credentials) or production personal data.
• Infringe intellectual property or privacy rights.
• Circumvent technical/policy restrictions (e.g., rate limits, bot rules).

We may set reasonable usage limits (rate limits, message size, attachment size) and block abusive clients or IP ranges.

4) Community Guidelines

• Be respectful and constructive; critique ideas, not people.
• Keep streams on topic; use designated channels for support and off-topic chat.
• Use content warnings for sensitive topics; avoid NSFW content.
• Do not share private messages without consent.
• Bots you operate must follow the same rules and must not leak secrets.

5) Your Content, Rights, and Licenses

• You own your content.
• You grant Agent Shell a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, distribute, back up, index/search, and create non-substantive derivatives (e.g., automated summaries) of Community content for operating, securing, moderating, improving, and promoting the Community. We do not sell your personal data.
• Public streams: you grant other Community users a license to quote and link your public-stream posts within the Community. Use private streams or private messages if you need stricter control.
• You are responsible for having the rights to the content you post.

6) Bots, Integrations, and Linked Services

• Bots and integrations may connect to Agent Shell or third-party services. Content and commands sent to bots may be processed by those services.
• Do not send secrets or production personal data to bots unless the integration explicitly supports it.
• We may throttle or disable integrations that affect stability or violate policy.

7) Moderation and Enforcement

We may remove content or restrict/terminate accounts for violations or risk to users/service. Measures include:

• Content edits/removals; message flags; stream limitations
• Temporary mutes, read-only status, suspensions
• Permanent bans and IP blocks
• Disabling bots/integrations or revoking tokens

Appeals: email abuse@agentshell.enterprises with (1) your account email, (2) message URL(s), (3) reasons for appeal. We will review within a reasonable time.

8) Notice-and-Action (Illegal Content)

To report allegedly illegal content, email abuse@agentshell.enterprises with:

• Specific URL(s)/message link(s)
• Why the content is illegal in your jurisdiction
• Your name and contact details
• A good-faith statement that your report is accurate

We will assess and, where appropriate, act and inform you as required by law. We may publish periodic transparency summaries at our discretion.

9) Copyright Complaints (DMCA-style)

Send notices to copyright@agentshell.enterprises including:

• Identification of the copyrighted work and allegedly infringing material (URLs)
• Your contact details
• A good-faith statement and confirmation you are authorized to act
• Your signature (digital acceptable)

We may remove/disable access and, where applicable, offer a counter-notice process.

10) Privacy and Cookies — Community Supplement

• We process personal data necessary to operate the Community: account data, basic profile, security logs, message metadata, IP address, and device information. Content of private messages/streams is not public; server admins have technical access and limit it to legitimate operational needs.
• Session cookies are required for login. Optional analytics cookies or local storage may be used with consent where applicable.
• Backups: routine encrypted backups may retain deleted content for up to 90 days for disaster recovery.
• Data export: request from organization admins or privacy@agentshell.enterprises.
• Data subject rights: see our main Privacy Statement; requests to privacy@agentshell.enterprises.
• Data location/transfers: we primarily process in the EU/EEA; any transfers outside the EU/EEA follow GDPR safeguards (e.g., SCCs, adequacy, and additional measures as needed).

11) Security

• Report vulnerabilities to security@agentshell.enterprises (coordinated disclosure; no public disclosure before coordination).
• No penetration testing without prior written permission.
• We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to risk.

12) Availability and Changes

• The Community is provided "as is." Features may change; we may suspend or discontinue features for maintenance, security, or legal reasons.
• We will provide reasonable notice of major changes where practicable (e.g., banner announcements).

13) Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

• No professional advice is provided in the Community.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Agent Shell is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or revenues.
• Our total liability related to the Community is limited to the greater of €20 or the fees you paid to us for the Community in the past 12 months (if any), except where liability cannot be limited under mandatory law, or for willful misconduct or gross negligence.
• EEA consumers: your mandatory rights remain unaffected.

14) Term and Termination

• You may stop using the Community at any time and request account deletion. Logs and backups may be retained for limited periods as noted above.
• We may terminate accounts for prolonged inactivity or violations of these Terms.

15) Governing Law and Disputes

• Finnish law governs (excluding conflict-of-law rules).
• Venue: Pirkanmaa District Court (Tampere), Finland.

Consumers in the EU may bring claims in their local courts where required by law.

16) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the new date above and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice (e.g., banner/email). Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.
